drygear® strain wave gear
The drygear® RL-S-17-28 strain wave gear is characterised by its particularly compact and lightweight design. Made from high-performance motion plastics, it enables lubrication-free dry operation, requires little maintenance and offers a high transmission (28:1) in a single stage.
The strain wave gear is characterised by an integrated self-locking mechanism. The position remains stable even when unpowered, which is particularly advantageous in safety-relevant or energy-efficient applications.
The gearbox is optimally designed for connection to NEMA 17 stepper motors and allows for easy integration into existing drive systems. Thanks to its low weight and compact design, the strain wave gear is particularly well suited to dynamic robotics applications, e.g. lightweight robots, axis modules or gripper systems.
The standard design is delivered with an adapter disc for flange-mounting grippers or superstructures. For precise referencing, an optional adaptable INI kit is available for the zero position.
