Whenever there is high demand for an industry or a product, new automation solutions are created. In this case, surgical masks were produced and packaged as part of the corona pandemic.

The problem

Due to the ad-hoc requirement, it was crucial to implement the integration of the automation solution quickly in order to meet the enormous demand at the time.

An igus® room linear robot was used to place the masks in their packaging and then close them securely.
