The "Innopack CSM" uses an application head to provide packages of various types with a carrying handle. Numerous bearing arrangements are used here to enable a lightweight and compact design. Other requirements include low coefficients of friction, increased service life, freedom from lubricants, freedom from maintenance, vibration dampening but also low costs. Only plastic bearings made of iglidur G and J were worth considering here.
"There was no alternative to the plastic machine elements given the weight, space and cost requirements set out in the specifications. The decision in favour of igus as a supplier was also an easy one."
Tilo Lechner, responsible for the development of the "Innopack CSM" at KHS Kisters
