Big challenge

High frequency welding apparatus

This high-frequency welding apparatus moves in a working area of 8 x 2,5 metres and rotates about 360 degrees. On its linear axes, igus® e-chains® of the series E4.56 and E4.42 ensures safe guiding of cables and hoses. However, the 360 degree rotation was a big challenge. Those responsible decided to use a combination of igus® energy chains of the series 14240 and 2500 and a T3-module for the rotational movement. This allows guiding 14 hoses and cables safely in a tight space.
