Lubrication-free linear technology enables smooth adjustments in rehabilitation equipment

• Success for the customer: A movable orthosis with variable length and numerous adjustable leg clamps enables the prodrobot to be customised over a wide range. The parts installed by igus® enable smooth adjustment of the rehab device. A long service life and disabled-friendly operation guarantee that the igus® products are lubrication and maintenance-free. The simple adjustment makes the device suitable for patients from 115 cm to 150 cm. The measurements refer to the length of the lower limbs.

All individual components used in medical devices must meet special requirements. For example, the devices must not make any noise, should be maintenance-free and must have a low component weight. These features are particularly important for the automatic gait trainer from Prodrobot. The rehabilitation device has been specially developed for children with impairments and diseases of the lower limbs. It must therefore be easily and quickly adjustable in size and as light as possible so that rehabilitation is affected as little as possible.

igus® products create normal conditions with special consideration of medical requirements. They are built into the foot distance adjustment mechanism and thus help with the rehabilitation of the lower extremities. The iglidur® J bar stock is easy to process. All igus® components are easy to install, require no maintenance and are available over the entire product life cycle. When repositioning the patient's foot, the igus® components make no noise whatsoever.
