Krones AG relies on lubrication-free PRT slewing rings from igus®

The Linatronic 735 from Krones is used to check reusable bottles. Are there objects, smallest foreign bodies or lye residues in the bottles? Are there cracks in the glass or has something splintered? Are there dirt residues on the side? PRT slewing rings are used to open the Linatronic. They ensure lubrication-free and maintenance-free bearing points and make a significant contribution to hygienic design.

When upgrading a customer robot, an iglidur PRT slewing ring was incorporated in the axis for the first time. An iglidur PRT-02-20 is now used in the rear axis of the robot. In order to optimally meet the requirements of EEVE, igus designed a custom solution with reduced required drive torque. It ensures that the rear wheel can rotate freely even in harsh operating conditions and without any maintenance.
